RLS Career Overhaul - Control Police Enforcing Rules, and Go Off Duty

RLS Police Tweaks Decide what the police actually care about — and clock off when you don't want to be bothered while strolling with your patrol car.​ One of my first vibecoded apps, for personal usage. Figured I could share it with the world. It's pretty much final, unless an update breaks it and I'll fix it. But if you find something else that I didn't, tell me. Updates: 1.2: New: signal preemption. Run your lightbar and the traffic light on your approach turns green while the rest of that intersection goes red. Fun fact: the base game has a switch for something like this and it was never turned on. This mod activates an intended base feature. New: no camera fines while running code. Speed cameras and red-light cameras stop ticketing you while you are in a police vehicle with the lightbar on. Another fun fact: This was ALSO intended in the base game. But was never called upon. Code exists, just wasn't activated. It is now. Fixed: you could stop being able to arrest anyone. After you completed an arrest, your police role got stuck in a permanent cooldown for the rest of the session. This mod adds a watchdog that monitors that bug and clears it when it happens. Compatibility BeamNG.drive 0.39.4.0 (build 20972). Built and tested on that build; earlier 0.39 hotfixes are expected to work but were not tested. Requires the RLS Career Overhaul. Tested against RLS 2.7.0_beta and the 2.7.0 hotfix. Older RLS builds are not expected to work. Does not overwrite or replace any game file, any RLS file, or any vehicle part. It adds its own UI app, its own extension and its own input actions, and drives the police through their public API. Mods that change police behavior in any way or form might break this mod (it just won't do anything). What it does Pick which offenses are enforced A checkbox per offense. Unchecked means the police simply don't react to it. The police still exist, still patrol, still respond to everything you left checked. Turn everything off and the police will ignore whatever you do. Off-duty mode For when you're in a police vehicle but don't feel like working. Random "fleeing suspect" calls stop being generated, any active suspects are dismissed on the spot, and the pursuit logic stops considering you. AI police carry on as normal. Three ways to reach it: the checkbox in the UI app (add it as an UI app first), a hotkey under Options > Controls, or the career radial menu. Cancel the current pursuit Ends an ongoing pursuit immediately. Same three places. Collapse to an icon After it's added as an UI App, click the siren emoji to shrink the app down to a single button. The icon carries a blue ring while you're off duty, so you can see your status at a glance without expanding it. Every setting persists between sessions. Honest notes Tested against RLS 2.7.0_beta and the 2.7.0 hotfix. The mod uses public API, but if RLS changes how offenses are named or how the police role is stored, individual checkboxes could stop biting. Off duty does not make you invisible. It stops new calls and drops active ones. It does not rewrite what already happened. Installation Drop the zip into your mods folder. In game, open the UI editor (top menu > UI Apps / Edit UI Layout), click "Add app" and place Police Tweaks wherever you like. Compatibility with other mods Nothing is overwritten, so conflicts should be limited to other mods that also drive the police pursuit system.
